A Handful of Joy

Lately, I’ve found myself spending stolen moments on a small handful of blogs that are simply beautiful…from the sentiment to the design.

I am so inspired by these blogs that I thought I’d share with you, so here goes…

Here, There and Elsewhere

Two newlyweds who have a passion for life and travel.

The DeLucas began following me on Twitter several weeks ago and I was compelled to follow them to their blog. What a lovely decision that was. The first post I read was Blog Promotion and I was struck by the honesty and simplicity in their words. Then, I learned that they were living here. Swoon. Today? I saw this and laughed so hard I may have peed a little.

Go say hello to the DeLucas…you won’t be sorry.

The Creative Mama

…to share with you; to reach out, encourage, and ultimately help you to live life a bit more creatively.

I first stumbled upon this amazing collaborative site when I followed my lovely friend Alison (who I wrote about here) over one day, where I read a description of love that left me speechless and more recently this piece on finding balance that leaves me inspired.

Baked Bree

…I got the idea to make this a place to put all of my favorite recipes and share them with my family, friends, and the Internet. That is how bakedbree.com was born. It is pretty much a love letter to everyone that I have ever cooked for…

I followed Bree from a post she had written on The Creative Mama to her own breathtakingly beautiful blog. Bree blends family-friendly recipes with astonishingly gorgeous photography. (Bree has such photography magic that she could probably find natural light in a closet.) Before Halloween, she offered up this sugar extravaganza and then this week, she seduced me with these bowls of heaven.

I hope that you enjoy each of these lovely blogs half as much as I do!

Do you have any blogs that you turn to for inspiration? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

  1. Those were good sites. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for those! They look great :)

  3. Alison thishomemadelife.com

All wonderful, Bree is quite talented at all she does.

  4. John daddyrunsalot.com

    You mean, besides this one?

There are three blog writers that, every time they post, I'll drop what I'm doing to read . . . because they write so eloquently and reach me with their words. These writers, I suspect, know who they are.

  5. What She Said shesaid.us

The DeLucas are adorable. Thanks for sharing!

  6. CDG

Oh, Nichole… more loveliness to read now? You are a cruel mistress.

  7. Oh my goodness, my google reader is going to cut me off, soon ;) Thanks for sharing! and greetings from Maine :)

  8. julie gardner juliecgardner.com

Wow – those are some lovely blogs.

How is it that they were so beautiful and clean and peaceful even though they have plenty in their sidebars?

Meanwhile I have almost NOTHING and look a mess.

Ah well. It suits me, I suppose.

But thanks for sharing such gorgeousness to appreciate.

  9. Sherri

I discovered the first one after seeing them tweeting or commenting or something…and the others? Have to check them out.

Lovely to find new reads! Now need to find the time…

  10. Rachel mommyneedsavacation.com

Baked Bree is amazing!!!! I think you introduced me to that one through SU!

  11. Jessica

I followed a link of yours to the DeLucas not long ago and fell in love with them. Now off to check out the other two.

  12. twertman

Love learning about new blogs! Thanks.

  13. I love finding new blogs to read, so thank you :)

It is a newer find for me but I really like Tina at My Life As A Mrs, http://www.mylifeasamrs.com/ I like her writing style, the recipes and her husband does a weekly feature on a cocktail (or other drink) that has made me decide stocking up our liquor cabinet should be a priority :).
