Reason #54 Why Having a Preschooler Rocks

When you’re four, to become someone’s friend, you need only ask them if they’d like to be your friend.

When you’re four, you truly believe that offering your friend a simple friendship bracelet means that you’ll be friends for life.

When you’re four, friendship is simple and pure.

And that is so lovely.

Katie and Sadie, daughter of my dear friend Rachel from Mommy Needs a Vacation.
Friends for life.

And when you’re 30, to become someone’s friend, you need only send them a friend request.

I might have literally "awwwwwww'd" over here.

I can imagine those bracelets are the very first thing the girls think about when they're getting ready for the day. :-)

Aww..how sweet. I heard Sawyer ask a kid at the pool if he wanted to be his friend.

Now we have to wait for a friend request to be approved.. ;)

So sweet. I wish it stayed that simple…

  14. So true. Sometimes I wish I could do the same as an adult though. Wouldn't it be great. Blogging friends sometime seem that way.

How adorable…I am still friends with a girl I've known since I was 4 ! Love the bracelets and the sentiment. If it were only that easy for girls our age. Xo

This is so true. I've been friends with a girl since were six months old, but there's something different about friendship that is created by the kids than friendship that is created by the parents.

So Facebook is our version of pre-school? I like that analogy. And I've met Rachel! She's cool! I've had chic trendy cocktails with her in San Francisco.

So true. Somewhere around five, a second potential answer to "Do you want to be my friend" emerges….. No.

    Ouch.

  21. So, so true!! Every time we leave the house is an opportunity for my almost four year old to make a new friend.
