One Hundred Words of Gratitude

This, friends, is my 100th post!

I’ve been trying to dream up a way to make this post special.

I’ve thought about sharing a hundred things about myself, but even I don’t want to read that.

What I want to do here is tell you how wonderful you are.

You come here, you read, and you often comment.

You cheer me when I’m down.

You encourage me when I’m unsure.

You laugh, even though I’m not funny.

You motivate me to hit publish.

I thank each of you.  Thank you for reading. Thank you for commenting.

I am beyond grateful.

  1. Nichole

    Thank you.
Honestly, without your encouragement and support, this blog would't even exist.
    I love you!

  2. Craig

So I tried to be the first to respond…we’ll see how quick I can finish my thoughts. I first of all want to tell you congratulations! I am really proud of you for your commitment to sharing your voice and your beautiful writing.

But moreover, I want to thank you on behalf of myself and our children. Baby books are great – but just that – a book about a baby. You have given our children a lifelong gift of the stories, laughs and quite honestly, challenges that have, and will continue to, form their youth.

We will all always look back and recapture those moments, small moments if I may, that we know are slipping by too fast….

I love you. And I thank you.

  3. Oh dear, you two are making me cry. Congratulations Nichole. We’ll have a cake this weekend in your honour.

I'm loving this love-fest! Congratulations, and I can't believe it's already been 100 posts! I've enjoyed them more than you know. I've laughed, I've cried, I've loved them all. Thank you for sharing your family, and helping us to feel more a part of it, even though we are 3,000 miles apart. We love you!

YAY!! I'm so happy to count you as a friend in this bloggy world!

    Here's to 100 more!

  8. Congratulations on the milestone! I hope there are hundreds and hundreds more small moments shared. You've made me smile, you've brought tears to my eyes, you've warmed my heart. Keep it up!

  9. CDG

    Well done, you!

Thank you for your raw honesty and your compassion and humor, and your constant reminders to look closely at the joy in life.

  10. Cheryl @ Mommypants

One hundred posts – woohoo! A wonderful milestone for sure!

  11. Maryline

    Congrats, Nichole!
I'm sure there will be many, many more posts. Some funny, some sad, some inspired, some looking for inspiration… (and some delayed, due to an unreliable Internet connection!)

    What a beautiful journey!

    Thanks for creating ITSM —

Much love to you, my friend :-)

  12. Lyndsey

Congratulations Nichole! As Craig said you are leaving your children a beautiful account of their childhood. Time goes by so quickly and it's really hard to remember the twists and turns we all experience as parents. I love that Katie and Matthew will be able to read all about their lives and share it with their children! And now for 100 more…..

  13. Clare

Well, we wouldn't read if you weren't such a beautiful writer! Here's to many more!

  14. Nichole

See now, that's how I know you're a real friend! Cake in my honor? I love you! :)
Thanks for being such a loyal reader and commenter!

  15. Nichole

    Thank you!
And thank you for coming by and reading. :)

  16. Nichole

    Love you too!

  18. Nichole

    Thank you, Alex!
I am so grateful to be able to call you my friend. :)

  19. Nichole

    Thanks, Lisa.
I'm also hoping for hundreds more.
It does intimidate me though…how will I possibly come up with that much to say?! ;)

  20. Nichole

    Thank you, my friend.
Thanks for reading, thanks for commenting, and thanks for encouraging me. :)

  21. Nichole

    I still can't believe I hit 100 posts.
Where did the time go? And how did I have that much to say?

  22. Nichole

    Thank you so much, Maryline.
I so appreciate that you come by and read.
If it weren't for amazing readers like you, I'm not sure that I would even sit down to write.
    Thank you for that.
    Love you!

  23. Nichole

    Thanks, Lyndsey!
I never knew just how much I would love this blog–this space that's all mine.
I hope that Katie and Matthew read it one day and know how important they are to me and just how much I adore them.
Thank you for being such a loyal reader!

  24. Nichole

Thank you, Clare…that is such a wonderful compliment. :)
